Symbolism

It would seem to me, that the efficacy of a Tarot deck would be whether or not the mental imagery (K3) generated by its use helped one to tune (K4) their conscious awareness to the (ever present) Inner Teacher (K5) or not.  If this is the case, then it seems to me that those who are in conscious (spiritually intuitive) contact with the Inner Teacher would be in a position to construct a Tarot deck with the proper symbolic imagery to aid others in tuning their awareness to that one Inner Teacher as well.

Since much of the impact of using a Tarot deck is subconscious, it would seem to me that caution and verification should be the order of the day.

I have to ask myself two questions:

1) When I use this Tarot deck, am I tuning in to the One Inner Teacher, or am I tuning in on the artist's own inner imagery, issues, and biases?"

2) Do I care?

The large stack of the many varying tarot decks that I have collected at home, indicates to me that at times I do place aesthetic pleasure above esoteric accuracy. Sometimes  I'm just interested in really cool pictures that evoke pleasurable images and emotions.

That's Entertainment!
