Setting a Good Example

I heard our president proclaiming what heroes were appearing in our country these days: military, athletes, care and rescue teams and individuals. No financial heroes were mentioned.

My question: what kind of example do you think pfc members should be to their fellow man? Thanks for your time in answering. Joseph

Perhaps an all out effort to hold ourselves to the same standards of criticism that we extend outward? Honest appraisal of ourselves coupled with the ability to change patterns when need be, seems to be key in maximizing evolutionary potential ; Man , Know Thyself. Kevin

For myself, the best answer is what does me the best good, in all cases, it seems - Before I act if I ask myself "Is it kind? Is it loving?" and give myself a good WAIT, I generally get an answer....Sometimes the answer is "NO. 

Sometimes, what I want to do isn't kind or loving, just immensely satisfying (like really trouncing someone. ...a dash of Scorpio in my chart somewhere (smiling))." So I have a talk with myself, and ask myself, "How can I react authentically to this person, and STILL manage to be kind and loving.

WHEN I am smart enough to wait to act, until this answer comes, I think I always like the outcome of the situation.

So, short answer?

Kind and Loving and Genuinely Honestly Authentically ACT, remembering that we are family.

Living those principles that we understand at each phase of our expansion of awareness is the best example. To the best of our ability...the kingdom of spirit embodied in our flesh speaks more than any amount of words we say. What is it they say about ....the nut never grows far from the tree? From little acorns, mighty oaks grow. Children embody our own principles. Whatever we show them, they take that model and grow it exponentially. The same is true of us in whatever behavior we model for others.

Seems we had this discussion recently on another subject.

The example to set?

WHO is setting the example?

Do what you want to do.

Even if you fail spectacularly, you will be setting an example - a cautionary tale for the benefit of others, which will help set up an expression of the opposite polarity.

On the other hand, if you succeed, well . . . . How can we not succeed?

What kind of example would you want to set, if you knew that you could not fail?
