Music

Just came back from King Crimson's (Fripp's) concert. I myself enjoyed it, but our guests left the concert early, and my girlfriend hated their music.

Some music expresses current conditions (K15)
Some music acts to break down old patterns (K16)
Some music works to create a calm peaceful state (K17)
Some music works to move the body (K18)
Some music is improvised spontaneously (K19)

KC's music has a dark dissonant quality which definitely assaults one's harmonic boundaries. Hmmm, this thought brings up a interesting hypothesis:

Do we surround ourselves with music and envelop ourselves in a harmonic envelope which meshes with and supports our current mental/emotional state?

Seems obvious. But what does this say about the music being played on the radio? Tune to your favorite station and tune to a vibration in sympathy with your own.

Desire turns the radio dial and we get what we want - Except when there's nothing on, in which case pop in your favorite CD.
