Judgement

Judgement

=====================================================

It is not merely in the "content" (of whether we are a type A or a type B person) that we reveal our consciousness; more importantly it is in the "process" (the fact of our "judging").

One's talking and walking are either in harmony or they are not. If the content of our words is about unity, but we make separative judgments, then we are not in harmony with ourselves. Instead of making "judgments", why not instead STOP for a moment, attempt recognize the phenomena, and seek the face of the beloved (Christ) behind the phenomena (Deep Looking).

The "ends" and the "means" are not separate; they are the same. This is at the heart of what I have been trying to say, (and apply when I did attend the Sunday night meetings).

If my clues are too obtuse, I'll put it more plainly.

If you wish to be in the present moment, then you must stop making "judgments" about yourself and others. When you "judge", you cannot Look Deeply. When you look deeply, there is no judgment.

Your "question" was an invitation for me to judge myself.

Perhaps now you can see the folly of trying to answer such a question.

What is the difference between responding with interpretation and reframing  verbally and in person (Sunday nights)  and   doing so via email (your practice with your friends (N., H. and etc and  now me?) is what your saying then:

that we really should stop and only write when we are "fully aware of our oneness with all of creation" we would never write/say anything. perhaps that  would be more appropriate in terms of the standards you've alluded to  re: Sunday night.

Any response or was that a knockout blow?

K,

Whether we interact in person or via email, the same standards apply. To me, those standards are based upon one simple principle. The desire to share. Now this means that I share my ideas, my views, my opinions, and my insights on various subjects. This "sharing" of mine is essentially all about my experiences of finding the face of the beloved behind the mask.

Your statement above appears to be a misinterpretation of some impression that one must be "perfect" (or "fully aware of our oneness with all of creation" ) in order to share. I never said that. What I did say is "DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO." All I suggested was that you may find it valuable to examine (Stop and Look Deeply at) your desires, but only if YOU WANT TO DO SO.

It is entirely possible that I am incorrect about the CONTENT of some of the subjects we are discussing. I invite you (and H. and N.) to share with me your views and knowledge on the things we discuss. However, I reserve the right to decline any invitation to offer "Judgments".

For to engage in a PROCESS of judging my fellow beings is to abandon the quest to seek the face of the beloved (Christ) behind the appearances of things.

As I said above:

When you "judge", you cannot Look Deeply. When you look deeply, there is no judgment.

When we judge, we Crucify Christ all over again. For when we judge, we are saying that the "mask" is all there is. When we judge we are saying that Christ does not dwell within the "other". When we judge, we are like the ones who called out for Jesus' crucifixion when they failed to recognize Christ for who he was. When we judge we deny Christ; we drive the nails through his hands, and thrust the spear into his side all over again.

Matt 25:
42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you
gave me nothing to drink,
43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you
did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'
44 "They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or
a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'
45 "He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one
of the least of these, you did not do for me.'

This is the choice that we all have. We can seek Christ, or we can deny him. We can STOP and Look Deeply, seeking the face of Christ behind the mask of appearances (including the "mask" of the persona), or we can "judge" by those "appearances" and deny Christ.

This is my understanding which I am sharing with you. It is NOT and invitation for you to judge others, or to judge yourself. It IS, however, an invitation to STOP and LOOK more deeply into the current subject of what it means to engage MINDFULLY with the world. In fact, if you'll notice - the whole tone of this email is saying "stop and look". Thus perhaps you can see that the process (how I communicate) is just as important as the content (my views and opinions on a particular subject). The ends and the means must be in harmony with each other, otherwise we are not being Mindful.

I am sharing my thoughts with you because it is my desire to do so.

JC.
