Dig deep and extend your insights by giving them to others.. N.J. ===== Not sure what you mean by "groups". Generally, a group could mean any association of 2 or more people who come together (or are drawn together) for a purpose, even if that "purpose" be not consciously known. This covers everything from friendships, to personal/sexual relationships, to family groups, to geographical groups (towns, cities, nations), to political groups, to ethnic groups, to religious groups, to esoteric spiritual groups, ad infinitium. Do "groups" actually exist, or is the "grouping" merely a mental classification which recognizes some interrelationships between centers of expression while ignoring other relationships? A group therefore seems to be a "mental construct" which simultaneously allows us to both feel connected AND hold an US verses THEM attitude at the same time. Where's the evolutionary value in this? It allows us to consciously identify ourselves with a fractionally larger whole. It allows us to fractionally expand our sense of Self to include other centers of expression. Furthermore, at the group's boundaries, there is additional evolutionary growth as well, as the universal problem of "appearances" must be continually addressed by the group at the US/THEM boundary. Are the members who share this mental construct called "group' able to evolve and become more inclusive, expanding their boundaries of self while still maintaining a sense of SELF, or do they rigidify and hole up in their collective Tower? Expand too fast and the group can lose cohesion, malfunction and fall apart. Expand too slow (or not at all) and the group compresses, calcifies, putrefies, crumbles, and dissolves - dispensing it's contents and providing possible seed starters for new groups! Group supernova! Hmmm, perhaps a group is like the Sun (K19). Compression (in consciousness) leading to expansion (in consciousness)! I would sum up an individual's and a group's evolution thus: K15, K16, K17, K18, K19 JC ================= BMQ writes: Even if you look outside esoteric circles, one can see that humanity is indeed a communal animal. He/She often defines himself/herself by the role played within the group ( Doctor, Engineer, Teacher, etc. ) and functioning effectively within the group is of great importance. It does not take much to see that we are all cells within a greater Organism most easily seen as Society. ===== Indeed! Once upon a time, in the evolutionary history of the Universe, atoms of hydrogen gas coalesced into groups under the LOVE force of Gravity and formed Stars. Later, these stars exploded or collapsed and in their death created the heavier elements, which were necessary to support the higher forms of life at the time - the planets. Much later, on these planets primitive life (as we commonly know it) began with single celled creatures. In time these single individualized centers of expression learned to form groups of cells in order to sustain a higher level of creative expression. Eventually the Earth was filled with a wide variety of creatures who crawled, swam, or flew, with each creature being in actuality not one center of expression, but an organized group of cells (each cell being a center of expression in its own right), who learned how to cooperate in a larger group, specializing in various ways to allow the larger organization/creature to exist. In time, these creatures themselves learned how to cooperate in groups for the purpose of getting food, procreating, and defending themselves, and in so doing, evolved their inner organization to allow an even greater degree of cooperation in organized groups. Whether it be a "school" of fish, a "pride" of lions, a "pack" of dogs, a "flock" of birds, or a "tribe" of people, the principle of ORGANIZATION (K18) is the same. K18 (The Moon) shows evolution and it's meaning is Organization - the ever more refined arrangement and grouping of corporeal centers of expression into a greater whole, whether that "whole" be one's own body, or some larger group of people. Learning how to function within the larger whole in an organized way leads one to becoming an ever more capable Administrator (K21) for the ONE. JC =================== N.J. writes: JC, I think you are really getting into this. This is an excellent, wide view of the grouping process that aids evolution. Keep going further in this, there is more to realize. N.J. ===== OK, In time, these tribes learned to form larger associations amongst themselves, and through mutual pacts and/or conquest formed nations and empires. These societies had their own life-cycles and as some would decay and crumble, other types of societies and cultures would rise up to take their place. Each society/body/group/culture in it's life cycle has had to deal with the same problems and issues along it life/death/rebirth cycle. Namely: EQUILIBRIUM between the inner ORGANIZATION of forces within the "group" and the pressures being applied to the group at the US / THEM boundary. These are the twin forces of Expansion/Compression or Integration/Disintegration or Birth/Death (K3/K13) which are the two sides of the same LOVE FORCE which propels evolution. Where has this lead today? Now "groups" have crossed over all previous boundaries of nation/caste/race/religion and in many cases are more a function of free association based upon one's level of consciousness and attraction to other centers of expression at that same level. In other words, many "groups" are based upon free association and are freer and more inclusive. Freer association allows groups to form more easily - accelerating evolution by allowing cells to form specialized groups more quickly. (K18 in overdrive). In terms of the evolution of humanity, this freer ability of groups to form in specialized ways, can be analogous to a primitive creature evolving through its ability to have groups of its cells specialize in order to bring about higher levels of functioning and expression. Like an animal evolving through its ability to have some of its cells group and specialize into the formation of wings and thus allowing the larger creature to evolve into a bird. So humanity is continuing to "group" cells of itself in evolving specialized ways to support a higher level of expression for humanity as a whole. Holy bat shit Robin! (light bulb igniting) Us "humans" are the vanguard in the ever evolving body of Christ (the Christ consciousness of Tiphareth) which includes ALL life! It's the Christ who is the force behind this (specialized grouping) organizing of HIS own body - US! JC ============================ X. writes: Wonderful stepping stones and the Body of Christ, earth, The Universe too. All as "Man" Adam and then a point up High is reached where there you are At-One-ment and only you can do it for your Self. And as "Man" you do it your Self. ===== So just who is this "doer" who is doing it for itself? Perhaps the One Doer is growing the many cells (individualized centers of expression) of its own body (all life, human and below) to meet ITs own desires? And as-above-so-below the one Doer's desires are felt within each cell as its desire. An individual cell in this body may believe it's "alone" or may believe that it IS the doer, but the real Doer is at the center of each cell, and so is also the guiding force behind the organization of all the cells collectively. You can't get away from "groups", unless you go within to the center of all - only to find out that you are ONE and that the ONE is also the MANY - which also means that the MANY are in actuality the ONE. "You come into the World of "Man" alone as One and you face birth, operations, disease (if necessary) and Universal Responsibility alone...and You face Death Mortal or Immortal (take a pick) alone. At-One-Ment." Is one alone or is one just unaware? Or does it matter, since the One Doer is in charge in either case? So really there's nothing to do, except what you want to do - which is really the ONE's desire as it is felt within yourself - one cell doing its best to grow within the body of the Christ as the Christ desires it to.
