Health & HealingMy Opinion: Health: When the vehicle is in such a state (of balance, harmony, responsiveness, etc..) , that it can respond to the Master's wishes. So here are some elements to health:
So, to me, when thinking about "Health" the question: "What is THY Will" comes to mind, since of course the separative little ego "me" will always want health to mean "feeling good" and being able to do whatever it thinks it wants at the time. For example: I want the "health" to be able to work a full day solving "interesting" problems for big bucks, be able to play 10 different musical instruments till 4am 7 days a week, make love to my woman 3 times a day, eat all the 1/2 pound cheese burgers I want - AND always feel good at the same time - FOREVER. So, How-bout it Lord? (won't you buy me a night on the town......) I think Karma may teach us what real "Health" is, by helping us reap the results of unhealthy DESIRES. So, once again it all boils down to: What do you want? If one wants health, then one must learn to desire in healthy ways, meaning in ways which are in harmony with what IS, as best they can discern it at the time. __________________________________________ 24 Jun 2001 Quite a while ago I used to do an occasional hands on healing when i felt the impulse. It involved an involuntary opening of the heart chakra which i didn't know about until Ann explained one day. I ran across a very accurate description of the process yesterday which i will forward to you. "The in pouring of healing was a transient phenomena. It began with an impulse to pity or love (compassion), or a simple understanding of another's profound need. There was an empathy--more, a kind of identity--between himself and the needy. It was himself who urged mercy from the unseen Father, and he offered himself as the vessel through which gifts of the Spirit might pass. There was no sense of miracle, or magic, or thaumaturgy. It was an act of Love, instinctive and unreasoned, through which a gift was passed or renewed. The impulse that prompted it came from elsewhere, it was not consciously generated." (you know where it came from!) In my own experience, that with the impulse, I felt a great glowing warmth in my heart center, flowing out through my hands to the needy. My hands became hot and engorged with blood when I placed them on the healee. There was no feeling of giving but of transmission of whatever was needed to the needy--no specificity. Healing is also experienced by the vessel of transmission. Feels great. This is called opening of the heart chakra, I feel sure that many of you have experienced this and will again. If you know somewhat the process through which you become a channel--it helps confidence in the flow and in not taking personal credit for the healing. In healing, wait till you feel that compassionate impulse--otherwise you are trying to force something that is not our province to force. I understand that practice of this increases the effortlessness of it and the love of doing it. Addicting. I found i could do it effectively from a distance by simply imaging the needy in front of me and laying my hands on. Joseph
