Fear and Courage

What is the basis of this fear?

So how does one overcome their "fear" of the opinions and reactions of
others?

Does the world "out there" have to change, or does the fearful one need to
overcome their fear?

(I do believe in ghosts . . . I do believe in ghosts .... I do, I do, I do
.......ahruff!)

At the risk of stating the obvious, everyone of us is a unique,
wonderful, important, Point of View. Your Point of View is as
important and valuable to God as every other Point of View that
exists. There is no such thing as one Point of View being higher
or better than another.

So let's hear it for the Wicked Witch of the West! Isn't her point of view
just as valid as Dorothy's? I am of the opinion that the WWW did the most to
help Dorothy on her path of enlightenment. Dorothy was just a immature
school girl before she met the WWW. It was the WWW who helped Dorothy
achieve realization by being the apparent adversary which she had to
overcome.

And HOW did Dorothy finally overcome the Wicked Witch? In an act of mercy
and compassion, she threw a bucket of water at her friend, the scarecrow,
who was on fire, and got the Witch instead.

In the face of the Adversary, Water and Compassion dissolved the problem.

This brings to mind the symbolism of K14 (Temperance) where the Holy Guardian
Angel compassionately pours the water on the brown Lion, (brown lion being
symbolic of the adversary).

The wonderful thing is that all we can ever know is what Truth is to
our own unique Point of View. Yes, there are stages of Spiritual
Maturity which are universally recognizable. But the true Hallmark of
this Maturity is not knowledge - but Compassion, Understanding, and
Tolerance. A true desire to aid and help others - not to razzle dazzle
them with technical terms and numbers of years of prior experience.

I am the Great and Powerful OZ!!! (pay no attention to that man behind the
curtain).

But did not the Wizard also help Dorothy in a very real sense, by laying out
before her, the tasks that she had to accomplish in order to achieve
realization? Maybe the real joke, is that the Wizard really was a Wizard,
but of another kind? Was it not compassionate for the Wizard to help
Dorothy on her arduous quest, though the path be difficult and fraught with
dangers?

So the short message to my long introduction is simply: Do not
be afraid to express your Point of View, because if you are an
expert on anything, it is your Point of View! No one knows your
Point of View better than you do. Cherish it! It is one of God's
most sacred Gifts to you.

If I only had a brain . . . . .
If I only had a heart . . .. .
If I only had the nerve . ...

Yet all they had, proved more than adequate because of their LOVE for
Dorothy - the beloved - the most "Human" amongst them.

Expressing LOVE in the face of Adversity is what gets us HOME.
