Except for the Truly Absolute (Cosmic Consciousness, Nirvana, Samadhi, etc..) , where we draw the line between "the explainable" and "the unexplainable" is largely a factor of our skill as communicators, and of our MOTIVATIONS.

So concerning the other 99% of life's experiences (discussed on this list):

To presumptuously cloak one's (non-Absolute) experience with the "veil of the Absolute" is a way to posture for false Ethos (K5), (credibility) , and stifle discussion. This known "stifling" effect is sometimes the purpose for invoking the veil.

Are these "earthly" experiences really SO unique, that the rest of us couldn't possibly understand?

Yes, the emotional/personal/subjective IS harder to communicate than logical abstractions, but it's worth the effort, IF one is discriminating, imaginative, and motivated to do so (and that's a BIG IF). Better to examine one's own motivations before invoking the "veil of the Absolute" as a buttress to one's assertions.

Otherwise the "veil" one invokes may be a veil of darkness, fit for shredding by light sabers [K6].

Second, I don't agree completely with your response to Q. You say that except for the Absolute, anything else is a matter of skill and motivation. Let's say that I have never tasted vanilla ice cream. Could you give me the experience of the taste through your admittedly well developed skills as a communicator? I don't think so. <<M.

I am not here to "GIVE" anyone an "experience" of anything. That is NOT the goal.

But IF, one is motivated to SHARE, then yes, even the vanilla can be approached and the essence, or some sense of the essence communicated to all but the most dense, even for the physically impaired. This is because we are not our physical sense impressions. These outer experiences make an impression upon our more subtle vehicles, and these subtle vehicles (our etheric, mental, emotional , and spiritual bodies) can be approached and "touched" (K9) by one sufficiently skilled in Pathos(K3), Logos(K4), and Ethos(K5) as appropriate, and using the appropriate medium (email is a very limited medium).

So even though the raw physical sensation might not be able to be "given" via non physical means (although I could be wrong here as well, since "apports" are an exception to this), the raw physical impression is but the mask, it is not the essence.

But the main point is that IF one is motivated, then much more can be done other than saying "you can't understand, so I'm not going to try". That indicates an underdeveloped imagination and/or a lack of motivation.

Of course I admit that my possession of these skills is limited, so currently VERIFICATION of this principle must take place on lesser planes for the time being. Yet analogously (as above, so below) I have a reasoned faith that as I continue to practice, my VERIFICATIONS will progress from the lower to the higher in accordance with Will. And so it is.....

And it would do well to remember: The purpose of our Western Mystery Training is NOT to get you to believe. The purpose is to get you to TRY (K14).

I think I am a well-trained, skilled communicator.  I once had a discussion about the color of sunlight with a woman who is blind from birth, She was very interested in my experience, and described her experience of sunlight very well. Clearly, our experiences were very different, and, with the best will and effort, I could not give her a reasonable understanding of my experience of sunlight. She had just never had sufficient experience with her own sensorium to grasp my experience in any way. My conclusion is, if the other has not has sufficient experience to develop a frame of reference, some experiences cannot be communicated, with the best will and most able skills in the world. <<

Granted, you were unable to give the woman the raw physical sense impression of sunlight, for you are not a sufficiently skilled magician or theurgist to be able to restore her eyesight, as say a Jesus, or a Saint could.

But given that you were unable to manifest a vibration sufficient to help heal her and thus enable her to experience the physical form of sunlight, I still say that you could of given her some impression of the ESSENCE of sunlight, even with such limited tools as speech!

The KEY element in this endeavor is ones ability to see the Essence that lies beyond the mask of form.

Having grasped the "essence" of the experience, one is thus able to "touch" another's more subtle vehicles to convey that essence. Granted, if the other person's more subtle vehicles are underdeveloped as well, then one may not be able to convey all that one could convey, but the goal here is NOT to give them what YOU would consider to be a "reasonable realization." The goal is to help them to "realize" as much as they are capable of at the time
with the help of their Inner Teacher.

So, lets take the example of sunlight. This woman may not have a large frame of reference, but she does have some frames of reference. Finding out what those frames are, provides a channel for communication.

Here are some "frames of reference" to consider:

Physical Frames of Reference:
Does she have the physical sense of "touch"?
Does she have the physical sense of "sound"?
Does she have the physical sense of "taste"?
Does she have the physical sense of "smell"?

Non-Physical Frames of Reference:
Has she ever felt love?
Has she ever felt that sense of innocent play?
Has she ever felt stifled by the intensity of another person?
(can you guess where I'm drawing these attributions from?)***

Now given these frames of reference (and probably many more on even more subtle levels) , one can do much to "touch" them in order to give them the "essence" of sunlight within that particular frame of reference.

So how would the ESSENCE of Sunlight be "felt" within these different "frames of reference"?

The feel of warmth & heat, the feel of a beautiful flower, the sound of a chirping bird (or the note D), the taste of orange juice, the smell of a Orange, the feeling of "waves of love", the "sense of playful innocence", the glare of another too bright personality, etc.... All these are ways of "touching" another's frames of reference so as to convey the "Essence" of a
thing.

Is not the "Realization" of something the understanding of its ESSENCE?

For those of us who have knowledge in "Sound and Color" we could even convey the essence of color to the blind, and of music to the deaf.

But the first step in being able to communicate the Essence of a thing to someone, is the ability to See the Face of the Beloved behind the Mask - the ability to discern (K6) the essence behind the form.

If you feel that you've been unsuccessful in communicating with others, then perhaps you've been focusing on the wrong thing, trying to communicate the mask instead of the Essence?
