Here's a commentary on our current techno-cultural life.

It's interesting to read this in relationship to what we know about human consciousness as symbolized in the Tarot.

Modern Advertising: The use of pictorial symbolism by the Mass Mind to influence our subconscious minds and keep us all in the condition shown in Key 15. This is a case of using the principles of consciousness (the B. teaches these principles in a way that empowers us and helps us to develop our personalities) to in many cases keep people in bondage to materialism. In other words SORCERY - modern advertising acting as an agent for lower forces to keep us all in line like nice little consumers.

Cyberspace: Analogous to the Astral/Psychic plane. The dire warnings given us about pursuing psychic development to the exclusion of the full spiritual / personality development applies in Cyberspace as well! Psychics who have not developed discrimination and Cyber-heads are both cases of the tragedy of what happens when we gain power or begin to dwell on a higher plane without developing the discrimination and self-mastery first.

It's like what Goethe said: 
"That which gives us power without giving us self-mastery is harmful."

As technology progresses and humankind collectively begins to dwell in the higher planes we must learn discrimination, discrimination, discrimination. Look at K15. What do 1+5 add up to? 6 which is the number for DISCRIMINATION.
